Paintings and photographs from my Residency at the Egon Schiele Center in Cesky Krumlov, 2007. I was invited with four other NYC artists to create a series of works to be included in the Czech Republic’s inaugural exhibition of Keith Haring’s work (with Poetry by William Burroughs). The exhibition hosted by the Egon Schiele Art Museum in Cesky Krumlov, was titled “Five Artists from New York”.

Below are two images of paintings I made in 2011 revisiting Krumlov and dealing with the flooding of the Vltava River in 2002, which inundated Prague and caused devastation. When I was at the Residency I came across photos of the flood and used these later for the paintings below.

“Flooded Krumlov #6”, Oil on canvas, 77” x 88” , 2011.

“Flooded Krumlov #9'“, Oil on canvas, 77” x 88”, 2011.
