Peter Maslow was born and raised in Midwood, Brooklyn, NY. He was a High School
drop out, but received his G.E.D. and went on to attend Long Island University,
Brooklyn Campus.
He graduated in 1995, Summa Cum Laude, became Artist in Residence from 1996 -
1997, and was a Fulbright Scholar from 1999 - 2000 in Poland, where he received
grants from the Polish Cultural Institute and American Consulate in Cracow, Poland.
He exhibited in Cracow and was Curator of several Polish Contemporary Painting
shows in New York.
Peter has exhibited in various venues. Current exhibitions include a solo show at
the Kathleen Cullen Gallery in Chelsea, NYC, as well as a residency and participation
in the group show "Five Artists from New York" at the Egon Schiele Museum in
Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic, an exhibition including Keith Haring.
From Summer 2006 through Fall 2007, Peter was part of the Emergency Arts
collective in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.
He recently moved his studio to Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
Peter Maslow is also an established renovations contractor in the New York City
